You will have the opportunity to practice and gain leadership and communication skills by facilitating this seminar assignment. Topics will be chosen in the 2nd week of the course. You will create a 15-minute video for your seminar. You can choose from a number of different recording tools listed below to do this. You will have 15-minutes for your seminar to; discuss your leadership and communication topic (the bulk of your topic), introduce and provide instructions for the class activity that relates to the topic and provide related readings and videos for further comprehension of the topic. Seminar:

The seminar must include a class activity/exercise that may include any of the following components that contribute to your topic in a pre-recorded lecture: written debate-(which can take place in the Discussion area) pose opposing sides of a topic- students debate topic, case study analysis, discussions, or media examples (i.e. TV or movie clips, Internet examples, newspaper articles, etc.). You will be responsible to respond to each student’s post within the week after your presentation.
You will also be expected to assign 2 readings and at least 1 video that corresponds to your topic, these can be articles, a chapter from a book, a newspaper article. Readings and videos should be online resources and easy to access. Please share links via your template, which you will also post to your assigned Leadership Seminar discussion board.
Your seminar will be evaluated based on the content, effective instruction (overall), the information presented, class activity, applicable readings/videos and submission of the template.
