Summerville has been thriving in this challenging economic time and has increased its population by 10% since 2010. This is an upscale community with modern, well-maintained homes. The SLMC is located within the Summerville city limits. There is also a city hall with a WIC office, movie theatre, shopping center, restaurants, grocery store, and several homes that line the Summerville streets.
