Short Essay questions
Focus on this: Becoming a doctor is the dream of my life, is all I ever
wanted to do. Helping people fulfills me as a person. I traveled back to
my hometown in Cuba. During my stay, I got sick and attended a hospital,
the conditions were depressing and given the severe economic situation
the country is going through not even the doctors seemed motivated to do
their jobs. Seeing all this strengthen my resolve of becoming a doctor.
I hope this institution will become the solid bridge needed for me to
achieve my dreams, both academically and in the personal sense given the
gigantic research facilities they have. I wish to complete my
undergraduate studies at this institution and move on to medical school.
2. In your personal statement on the Common Application, you explained
why you are seeking to transfer. Please explain in detail why you wish
to transfer to Johns Hopkins University specifically. (300-500 word limit)
Short Essay questions
Focus on this: My grandmother is my greatest motivational figure, she is
a two times breast cancer survivor, and was recently informed the
disease had metastasized to her lungs. No matter how many bad news she
gets she is determined to keep on smiling, and desires to live more than
anyone else in this world. John Hopkins University has a superb
educational program but also is a leader in cancer research. I would
love to volunteer or work at research aimed at lessening the effect of
cancer. Planning also on becoming an oncologist. I think the cure for
cancer would be the greatest scientific breakthrough of this century,
and I would love to be part of the team. You can also go on and talk
about what makes JHU an unique institution.
please contact me if you have questions of any sort or need
clarification. write about 400 words per short essay. I would love for
you to complete this as soon as possible. Counting on you.
